Your SparkBox week — Oct 29
Posted by tomspark
Here's what shipped to every SparkBox this week — if your box is up to date, you already have all of it: • Legend boxes get a new interface option: the Legend look. Pick it from the dashboard's interface switcher; Classic and the other looks stay available. • Free boxes use the Classic interface and now show previews of what Legend adds, such as SparkBox Media, so you can see what each feature does before you upgrade. • New Storage page (Legend): see your drives and the folders SparkBox uses, including your Media folder, with how much space each takes and how much is free. • Media: when a download can't be filed into your library, the Media page now says why (for example a RAR file, or a folder the app can't see) and what to do. "File it for me" files only what the app itself matched, and the original download stays where it is. • After Tom AI fixes something for you, it asks "Did that fix it?" so you can tell it with one tap whether the problem is gone. • BookOrbit and app set-up: SparkBox's own automatic checks pass again. Nothing changes on your box. • Safety improvements to how SparkBox saves app logins and to BookOrbit's web address handling. • After you go back to an earlier SparkBox version (sudo sparkbox rollback, or the automatic step back after an update that failed), an app like Portainer no longer keeps restarting. When the newer version had already upgraded that app's data, SparkBox keeps just that app on its newer version and tells you which apps it kept. 📣 Shoutouts this week: could be you. Report what's broken and you might see your name in next week's thread. Got a bug or a feature idea? Post it right here in d/sparkbox and Tom's team reads it. P.S. Tell a friend about SparkBox: you earn $10 for every Legend sale you refer, and they get $10 off.
