My question: Why is my box suggesting a Usenet provider when I already have it setup? SparkBox AI replied: That suggestion is a false positive. I checked the live box: - SABnzbd is healthy and recently downloaded, extracted, and completed a job. - Radarr and Sonarr both have SABnzbd configured. - Prowlarr has Usenet indexers synced. - Doctor found no setup fault. So your Usenet setup is working. The dashboard’s recommendation detection is stale or misreading the config—ignore the card. No restart needed. Since that’s SparkBox’s own dashboard behaving incorrectly, click Share to demox so Tom can patch the detection logic. What I still need help with: (describe what didn't work or what's still broken)

Good news, that is the fix working as intended, not a new problem. v1.6.661 taught the dashboard to recognize a Usenet provider configured directly in SABnzbd (like yours), not just the USENETHOST setting. Because you set the provider up in SABnzbd rather than that setting, the correct label for you is Set up - it cannot show a server address here since none is stored in that field, but Set up means the same thing as active: SABnzbd's provider is recognized and working. It is not a downgrade. Given SABnzbd is healthy and already downloading and extracting, you are fine to leave it alone.

Thanks for reporting that. If the prompt still appears after a provider is already saved, that is a dashboard issue—not something you need to reconfigure. I’ve logged it and our team is investigating this. Please leave your existing provider settings alone; I’m checking why the prompt is still showing.

SparkBox v1.6.661 is now available. It corrects the dashboard setup prompt when a Usenet provider is already configured in SABnzbd. Update SparkBox, then check whether the prompt clears. Please leave your working provider settings as they are and let us know if the prompt remains.

Following up on this one: the false "set up a Usenet provider" prompt when SABnzbd is already configured was a dashboard detection bug, and it was fixed in SparkBox v1.6.661 (shipped Sept 5). Your box picks it up on its next auto-update, or you can run Settings → Update now. If the prompt still shows after updating, reply here and we will dig into your box directly.

Applied the most recent update to the spark box version 1.666. I believe Usenet now showing setup rather than active. Not sure what it means but the boxes, healthy, and working so I’m gonna leave it alone for now
