I haven't left Reddit totally yet, but if I find demox fits my needs, and keeps me interested, then I would leave Reddit in a heartbeat and never look back. What makes me consider leaving Reddit right now is the fact that my comments have been hidden or removed without any explanation, even when I follow the community guidelines. My comments also get removed even if I am the original poster. From my observation, I am getting removed simply because of how I write. I like to explain things when I reply/comment on something, and it's these comments that are getting removed. If I don't explain myself, it stays up. I hope this doesn't happen on demox, and I get to speak my thoughts and be myself.

I had been on Reddit about 4 years give or take and made a sarcastic remark with the /s and was permanently banned. What I said was " strikes again! /s" It was an automated permanent ban that I am sure centered on the word strikes. I appealed the ban and it was over turned. All is good until the next day when I discovered I was banned again. No ban letter from Reddit or anything just the red banned banner, the previous ban letter, appeal, and letter where account is re-instated were gone. I appealed again but since it didn't tell me why or for what I was banned for it was hard to dispute, I have heard nothing and suspect I never will. A couple days later I decided I was finished with Reddit. I could find a work around and go back, but why? Even if my account is restored I don't think I would go back, with all the changes it really isn't that enjoyable anymore. So here I am on the ground floor of something new, something with a possible future, something that with a little growth that could be great.
