Updates 1.6.345 + 1.6.346 — big reliability batch: update safety, Immich stability, anime episode fix and more
Posted by tomspark
Two updates tonight focused purely on stability. The highlights: Interrupted updates can no longer wipe your setup. If an update ever crashed halfway, the installer used to treat your box as a fresh install and regenerate passwords. Now it recognizes your box and safely upgrades in place. This was the nastiest bug in the batch and it's gone. Immich should crash much less. Anonymous fleet reports showed Immich was our most failure-prone app, mostly from running out of memory during big photo jobs. It now gets twice the memory, and normal after-update database work no longer shows as scary red 'unhealthy'. Sonarr, Radarr and Prowlarr heal themselves if they regenerate their own keys (they used to go silently dead), OpenVPN users can now pick their protocol right in the media install popup, and Jellyfin hardware playback is fixed on Ubuntu/Mint-family systems ('fatal player error' on every video). And if you've hit the anime problem — Sonarr downloads the episode but Jellyfin shows the wrong one — ask Tom AI on your dashboard: it now gives you the exact two-setting fix instantly. Boxes update automatically, or hit Update in your dashboard.
