Update 1.6.356 — anime episodes no longer misfiled in Jellyfin
Posted by tomspark
If you watch anime through SparkBox, you may have noticed episodes landing under the wrong season in Jellyfin — Episode 102 showing up as season 1 episode 2 — or episodes that Sonarr clearly downloaded just never appearing. That's fixed. What was happening: anime releases name their files with one big running episode number instead of seasons, and Jellyfin misreads those names. Sonarr now renames everything it imports into a format Jellyfin always understands. If you set up your own custom naming, it's left untouched. For episodes that are already misfiled: open Sonarr, go to the series, and use Rename Files — Jellyfin will sort them correctly on its next scan. New downloads are correct automatically after updating. If something's quietly broken for you and you never got around to posting about it, tell Tom AI in the dashboard chat — that feedback genuinely drives what gets fixed.
