Patch shipped: v1.6.542 — QNAP installs, File Browser's second drive, Seerr reconnecting, and a Homarr restart loop
Posted by tomspark
Four things you reported, all fixed. Run sudo sparkbox update to get them. Installs stopping dead on QNAP. The install would print its usual checks and then just stop, with a confusing curl error and nothing else. One of the free-space checks used a command option that not every NAS supports, and when it got refused the whole installer quit without a word. It now reads free space in a way every system understands, and if it still can't, it says so and carries on. Huge thanks to Yeti, who tracked it down to the exact line himself. The same check was quietly stopping sparkbox backup part-way through on those boxes too — also fixed. File Browser only showing one drive. Its settings file was being replaced on every update, so there was nowhere for your own settings to live. It keeps your copy now, and adding a second drive or volume is a proper, permanent change — the how-to is in the per-app overrides guide. Thanks jackhammer57. A friendlier version of this (pick your drives in the dashboard) is on the list. Seerr saying it can't reach Radarr or Sonarr. When an update replaced only the VPN app, Seerr kept talking to the copy that no longer existed while everything else reconnected — so a restart fixed it for a day and it came back. It reconnects itself now, and only when it actually needs to. Thanks LaggyGamerZA. Homarr restarting forever. If it can't find its home board it runs out of memory, and no restart can fix that — so SparkBox stops restarting it and tells you exactly where to set the board instead (there are two places, which is the part that catches people out). Thanks DocSenna. Keep them coming — every one of these came from a post here.
