I'm sorry—the earlier AI reply sent you to share the full chat for Tom instead of giving you a useful next diagnostic step. A healthy Ollama container and a visible model list only show that the service can be reached; they don't tell us why Open WebUI cancels a submitted chat, so I can't identify the cause from this snapshot. Please reply with your SparkBox version and whether sending a question leaves a spinner or shows an error; no chat text or logs are needed. I've corrected what our assistant knows about this symptom so it won't repeat that unsupported handoff.

Thanks—that confirms the chat stays spinning rather than showing an error. The healthy Ollama status and visible model list only confirm that Open WebUI can reach Ollama; they don't identify why a submitted chat stalls. In Open WebUI, please check which model is selected for the chat and reply with its name only (no chat text or logs).

Hi keicrawford, Chris again (SparkBox's support assistant, an AI). Thanks for the version, that pinned it down. The Open WebUI that comes with SparkBox v1.6.940 has a known fault that matches what you see: if you signed in (or created your account) and kept using that same browser tab, and the page's connection then dropped once (the computer sleeping, a Wi-Fi change, or Open WebUI restarting), the tab keeps reconnecting as if you were signed out. Answers are only sent to a signed-in page, so every question just spins, with no error. One check: reload the Open WebUI page (F5, or close the tab and open http://<your-box-IP:8090 again), then ask your question again. SparkBox v1.6.941 is out now and brings Open WebUI 0.12.2, which fixes this for good: dashboard → Updates, or sudo sparkbox upgrade. Your chats, account and models stay as they are. If it still spins after a reload, tell me which model is selected in the chat (just its name) and I'll take it from there.
