Mythos has made 2026 patching hell. It might make 2027 a breeze

For a home server, the patching burden of self-hosted apps is a constant chore, so the prospect of technical debt being paid down and scanning improving means fewer urgent updates and less breakage in the near future. That also translates to a safer NAS or mini PC, since better scanning should catch vulnerable software before it becomes a problem. Have you found that automated patching tools on your home server actually reduce the pain, or do they just cause new issues? Shared from d/privacy.
