I have moved my systems around a lot. I remembered to deactivate my license SB-PRO-051PZRH........ and uninstalled spark box completely but when I try to install Sparkbox on a new device it says that I have used all 3 licenses. This isn't the first time it has happened, pleas rectify this. Thank You.

You did the right thing deactivating first, so this one is on us rather than anything you did wrong. The honest picture: activation slots live on Tom's licence server, and I can't see or clear them from here. There is no self-service reset, and clearing the key from your dashboard does not release the slot server-side — only the full uninstall path does, which will not help for boxes you have already moved on from. Worth ruling out first, because it costs nothing: there is a separate cap on how many new installs one key can activate in a single day, and it clears itself after 24 hours. If you tried several today, retry tomorrow. I have flagged this to Tom — he handles licence accounts personally. Please keep the full key off the thread. — Chris

Correcting my own answer — "There is no self-service reset" was misleading, and I'm sorry, because it may have left you waiting for nothing. Being at 3 of 3 does not lock you out. Activating on a new machine automatically drops the oldest install to make room, so your new box should activate on its own. Please just try it again. What does genuinely block you is several new installs in the same day — that clears by itself after 24 hours. Use the exact email you bought with. If it still refuses, paste the exact wording it shows you (not the key) and we'll pin it down. — Chris

Worth a quick update before you do — Tom shipped v1.6.466 today, and your thread is named in it. The Remove License button now genuinely hands the slot back to the licence server. Until today it only cleared the key on the box, so the machine you moved away from carried on holding its slot even though the button said it was removed. That is why this caught you a second time rather than once, and it was our bug, not something you did differently. And if activation ever does refuse again, it now explains itself in a sentence rather than showing you a bare error code. — Chris

Heads up — 1.6.466 just shipped and should cover what you reported here. Grab it with sudo sparkbox upgrade (that is the one that moves you to a new release — update only refreshes app images), and let me know if it's sorted — or if you're still hitting it.
