Sorry this one sat here unanswered — that's on us, and I'd rather say so than gloss over it. You did the right thing removing the licence before rebuilding. The trouble was that Remove License only cleared the key on your own box back then; it never told the licence server, so the old install carried on holding its slot and you saw two or three in use. That has since been fixed — the button now releases the slot on the server first, then blanks the key locally. You also don't need the stale ones cleared by hand. The server drops the oldest slot on its own when a fourth machine activates, so rebuilding can't permanently cost you the licence. — Chris
