Immich external libraries and SABnzbd

Hey Tom Hope everything goes well. You definetely get something done with all those updates the last few days 😀 Well so far I have only managed to actually get one movie and a couple episodes from my Sparkbox set-up. The ARR-stack keeps not working in different places and with different issues (and some reappearing ones). I sometimes really feel like just giving up, but it just seems so smart in theory, when it just works. TomAI helps alot. It figures out stuff I would never have found out myself. And I get a LOT of permission denied in UGOS Pro. Keep up the good work and I hope we all soon will have a working ARR-stack and more 😊 Thanks for all your help so far. Resumé from TomAI: Immich — External Library mount not wired IMMICHEXTERNALPATH exists in .env but is not referenced anywhere in modules/immich/docker-compose.yml, so the host path never gets bind-mounted into the container. Setting the variable does nothing. Workaround: manually add the bind mount to the compose file (gets wiped on updates). Needs the compose file updated to actually use ${IMMICHEXTERNALPATH} as a volume. SABnzbd — Radarr not sending grabs SABnzbd is added and tests green in Radarr's download clients. Radarr finds NZB results via NZBgeek and marks them as grabbed, but nothing ever arrives in SABnzbd's queue. No errors visible on either side. Looks like Radarr is reporting a successful grab but the NZB is not actually being pushed to SABnzbd. Needs investigation into whether arr-bootstrap is overwriting the SABnzbd config or whether there's a category/API mismatch between Radarr and SABnzbd.

Immich: small correction — IMMICHEXTERNALPATH isn't actually a SparkBox setting (TomAI got that one wrong; nothing in SparkBox reads it, which is why setting it did nothing). But you CAN add an external library, and it survives updates. Over SSH, create /opt/sparkbox/state/overrides/immich.yml with exactly this: services: immich-server: volumes: - /path/to/your/photos:/mnt/external:ro Then: sudo sparkbox up immich — and in Immich go to Administration - External Libraries and add /mnt/external. I'm putting first-class support for this on the list so it's a setting, not a hand-edit. SABnzbd (Radarr grabs but nothing lands): quickest clue — in Radarr - Settings - Download Clients - SABnzbd, note the Category field, then in SAB - Config - Categories confirm a category with that exact name exists. A mismatch makes Radarr 'grab' while SAB silently drops it. Also check SAB's History tab right after a grab — if the item shows there failed/rejected, that pinpoints where it's dying. Paste what you see and I'll take it from there. The UGOS 'permission denied' stuff is a known rough edge on UGOS Pro (file-ownership differences) and it's on the fix list. Hang in there — and thanks for the detailed write-up, it genuinely helps.

I should have read all your articles, especially the one with choosing the first app. I of course went straight for the Mediefile server. Stupid complex first choice, for someone who have never done this kind a thing, but I didn't know. The more issues I run into the better I understand just how complex it all is (and I don't even wanna think about the work to put it all into Sparkbox and combining everthing it has to offer).
