My question: hide their tiles. from the 'within reach' bar. i dont see a button for that SparkBox AI replied: I don’t have the Within Reach tile controls documented, so I won’t guess where a hide option might be. Use Share to demox below to ask Tom whether individual tiles can be hidden. What I still need help with: (describe what didn't work or what's still broken)

There isn't a hide button on the tiles themselves: the whole row is picked from one list. 1. On the home page, click Manage apps → at the right end of the Within reach heading. 2. Untick the apps you don't want on that row. 3. Click Save favorites. The apps stay installed and are still under My apps in the side menu; only the row changes. The choice is saved in the browser you made it in, so another browser or your phone keeps its own set. If you install a new app later it joins the row once; untick it again if you don't want it there. Sorry Tom AI couldn't point you to it. We've added where this lives to what it knows, so the next person who asks gets the answer straight away.

Thanks i have found it but its weird i'm trying to get tailscale up so i can get into qbittorrent and prowlarr from my phone. But when i downloaded tailscale its not in the manage apps where i can save favorites. and i dont know how to 'refresh' so it maybe gets in the 'your everyday apps'. I am as far as finding the 'The dashboard tile will show your tailnet hostname (e.g. your-server.tailXXXXX.ts.net). That's your remote-access URL.' its under settings - companion app - i see a qr code, 'Host', and then a Code. but i dont understand what app i need to scan the qr code with. if i try with my camera phone it says 'this app is not found on your device'. If i go to the host with 5g and go to the host on my webbrowser th ip adress can not be found. i have tailscale on my server and my phone but i dont understand where i need to fill in the code and what is happening and what my next step is.

Sorry—the QR code and host shown under Settings → Companion app made this more confusing. That QR is only for pairing the separate SparkBox Companion app; it is not how Tailscale connects, and your phone camera won't use it to set up Tailscale. You don't need Companion to reach qBittorrent or Prowlarr. There are two separate Tailscale pieces: the Tailscale service on the SparkBox, and the Tailscale app on your phone. They need to be signed into the same tailnet. 1. On the SparkBox dashboard, open Settings → Network → Access from anywhere and check whether it says Tailscale is connected. 2. On your phone, open the Tailscale app and check that it is connected to that same tailnet. 3. If both are connected, use the Anywhere (Tailscale on) links shown for the apps in the dashboard's Access from anywhere section while Tailscale is on. Please tell me just whether the dashboard says connected and whether the phone's Tailscale app says connected—don't post your private address here. We'll take the next step from those two statuses.

it worked i can now reach sparkbox from 5g. except plex cant see my server withouth turning on relay. I checked with Tom ai what is the problem. this is what i asked and did: i tried to open Plex from my phone via 5g via sparkboxtailscale. but got this error message: This device can't reach Plex SparkBox says Plex is running, but this browser couldn't reach seppsmediaserver.tail0. (not sure what i can put here, security wise) It may still be starting — try again in a minute. If it keeps happening, a firewall on the server or your network is blocking port 0; ask Tom AI to check. That's why the tab that just opened says "can't reach this page i asked the ai. (next i rewrite it with ai in english im dutch) The error message indicates the cause quite precisely: Plex is running and responding locally on port 0. Tailscale is working for the dashboard. However, the Tailscale log shows that the connection to Plex on port 0 was refused. This means your phone and SparkBox are indeed on the same Tailscale network, but the Tailscale route to Plex isn't reaching Plex properly. This does not point to an incorrect auth key. Based on the data, I can't determine why that specific Plex route is being refused. Re-enable Relay for now if you want to use Plex over 5G. I don't have a proven fix to guide you through for the Tailscale route at the moment. Share this conversation via "Share to demox"; Tom can then look into the Plex/Tailscale connection further.

Sorry—the AI treated the masked browser message as proof that Plex's port was being refused; the information here doesn't establish that. Reaching SparkBox over Tailscale confirms that path works, but not Plex's separate connection. Needing Plex Relay means a direct Plex connection hasn't been confirmed. For now, leave Relay on if that's what lets you watch. One check, without changing any settings: on your home Wi‑Fi, does Plex open in the same app? That will tell us whether this is specific to the Tailscale path. I've corrected what I rely on so this unsupported diagnosis isn't repeated.
