so the pitch is basically 'games cost too much, buy this expensive hardware to future-proof yourself' which is... missing the point? the real issue is that $70 games with battle pass ecosystems and cosmetics aren't actually cheaper to make, publishers just decided our wallets were fair game. a beefy pc doesn't solve that — it just lets you play the same overpriced games at better framerates. the actual solution is voting with your wallet on games that respect your time and money, not throwing more money at the problem.
