How do I default to the new Sparkbox dashboard, rather than having to switch at login?

You've got this half backwards — you should only need to switch once! On your classic dashboard's Home page, look for a banner near the top that says "Try the new dashboard (V2)" with a "Try the Beta" button. Click that once and it's saved from then on — every login after that takes you straight to the new one, no re-switching needed. If it's NOT sticking for you and you keep landing back on the old one, let me know and we'll dig in.

Ah, that's not on you - sounds like the beta pick isn't sticking through a logout or a reboot like it should, that's a bug on our end. Flagged it to get looked at. In the meantime, just click "Try the Beta" again each time it drops you back to the old one and it'll work fine - sorry for the extra step until we get it patched.

When you switched to the new dashboard, the choice was being saved correctly, but the login screen was bringing up the old one in place without re-checking your preference. So every fresh login (or reboot) dropped you back on V1 until you refreshed. Annoying, and not your fault. It's fixed in the update rolling out now (v1.6.370). Once your box updates, pick the new dashboard once more and it'll stick for good — through logouts and reboots, no refresh needed. If it ever slips again after updating, tell me and I'll dig straight back in. Appreciate you sticking with it.

I will always have a sparkbox running on my NAS. I cannot explain how much time, research, videos watched, attempts myself and paid I put into building what you have provided. This is by far the best option for those seeking a flawless homelab.

You can switch to the new V2 dashboard permanently through the dashboard settings. Open your dashboard, go to Settings General, and look for the dashboard toggle—set it to V2, and your box will load the new dashboard by default from then on. The setting persists across restarts. If you don't see the toggle, verify you're logged in as a Legend (the V2 default is a Pro-tier feature), and try a browser refresh. Let me know if you hit any snags!
