A few questions!

My current arr stack and docker containers are all on a college surplus hp elitedesk, with Ubuntu server. I’ve never seen the screen after Ubuntu was installed since it’s been headless and Claude code runs it all for me. Few Qs, Can Claude code still reconfigure/manage everything for me? If I am currently using protonVPN can I use that instead of the ones you listed? Is the dashboard served as a webpage like Homarr so I can view it while the computer is still headless? Looking at this since Claude codes price and availability may not be permanent. This seems like I could manage it myself without his help if needed.

Yes on all three: 1. Claude Code isn't required — SparkBox manages itself. The sparkbox CLI + dashboard handle install, update, self-heal, and config. Claude Code is great if you want to extend or customize, but day-to-day operation doesn't need it. 2. ProtonVPN works — gluetun (our VPN container) supports Proton out of the box alongside Surfshark, Mullvad, Nord, and a dozen others. You'll need your WireGuard PrivateKey + assigned IP from Proton's dashboard; install.sh prompts for them interactively. 3. Dashboard is a webpage at http://your-server-ip — view it from any browser on your LAN while the box stays headless. Tailscale is built-in if you want secure remote access. Replaces Homarr (and Heimdall, Dashy, etc.) — the dashboard is the main UX surface.
