hello I need your help. so i have xfinity and i just got a router fom tp link. I want to run pi hole n block ads and i can't on xfinity router. Last time i tried to put it in bridge mode, none of the things worked. xfinity runs on [LAN address] and i got spark box set up on xfinty ah ports. when i will use the tip link router it'll be set to [LAN address] whatever. how do i port all the settings for sparkbox to new setup. i am not suree could you help me with that? basically all of the system is set up on xfinity modem / router and i can't edit dns settings on it. so if i add a router and put that on bridge mode which i did last time nothing worked and yea m at a starting point let me know please and im running it on my ugreeen nas DXP4800 Plus

You should not need to redo SparkBox or move its settings just because you change routers; it can stay on the UGREEN NAS. For now, leave the Xfinity gateway out of bridge mode, and tell me whether the TP-Link is currently set to Router mode or Access Point mode, and whether the NAS is plugged into Xfinity or the TP-Link. Then I can give you the right next step for Pi-hole without risking the working setup.

yea i tried that and i cannot access this pannel at all or any of the links for sparkbox because the login ip is different what do i do about that? 1 like it doesn't work just no access.

Sorry—you’re stuck because the NAS may now have a different local address on the new router, so the old SparkBox links no longer reach it. Please connect your phone or computer to the TP-Link network and check the router’s connected-device list for the UGREEN NAS; does it appear there? Don’t change bridge mode or DNS yet. Also, the address you typed may have a typo—please don’t post the NAS address publicly.

its not going to work because of the different local address. so i need a way to transfer the old sparkbox to the new router settings or i can delete this whole system and just redo it again after i get the new router set up.

I get why you’re considering starting over, but please don’t delete SparkBox or reset the NAS—changing routers does not require rebuilding it. The NAS is still configured for its old local network, and we haven’t confirmed that it has joined the TP-Link network yet. While your phone or computer is connected to the TP-Link Wi‑Fi, can you check its connected-device list for the UGREEN NAS and tell me whether it appears? Please don’t post its address publicly. If it is not listed, the next step is to connect the NAS to the new router; once it is listed, we can safely get you back to the dashboard using its new local address.
