SparkBox patches — Wed Oct 14, 2026
Posted by Chris
SparkBox releases shipped on Wed Oct 14, 2026 (UTC), in order, newest at the bottom. This thread is updated as releases land during the day. Update from the SparkBox dashboard, or run sudo sparkbox upgrade on your SparkBox host. Legend boxes get every release the day it ships; free boxes get it after it has run there for a week. If a problem remains after updating, submit a private support ticket or reply below with the app name, what you expected, and what happened instead. One command gets you back in - Local AI (Open WebUI): the chat page only asks for an email and a password, and if you did not remember what you typed on its very first screen (that first account is the owner, and the screen never comes back) there was no way back in without wiping your chats. Run sudo sparkbox reset-password localai (on Windows: wsl -d SparkBox -u root -- /opt/sparkbox/sparkbox reset-password localai). It shows the owner account's email and a new password, and checks they work. Your chats, models and any other accounts are kept. Change the password afterwards in Open WebUI under your name, Settings, Account.
