SparkBox patches — Mon Oct 12, 2026

SparkBox releases shipped on Mon Oct 12, 2026 (UTC), in order, newest at the bottom. This thread is updated as releases land during the day. Update from the SparkBox dashboard, or run sudo sparkbox upgrade on your SparkBox host. Legend boxes get every release the day it ships; free boxes get it after it has run there for a week. If a problem remains after updating, submit a private support ticket or reply below with the app name, what you expected, and what happened instead. Earlier days: Sun Oct 11, 2026 · Sat Oct 10, 2026 · Fri Oct 9, 2026 · Thu Oct 8, 2026 · Tue Oct 6, 2026 · Mon Oct 5, 2026 · Sun Oct 4, 2026 v1.6.915 — Bring your own Docker media stack into SparkBox, and get Sonarr back when it opens to a database error - Already running your own Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, Prowlarr, qBittorrent, SABnzbd, Jellyfin or Jellyseerr in Docker? sudo sparkbox import-stack ~/media/docker-compose.yml shows what it would bring into SparkBox and changes nothing; add --apply to import. It copies your libraries, history, logins, torrents (they keep seeding from the same files), Jellyfin users and watch history, and Seerr requests, and never changes your old app folders or your media. sudo sparkbox import-stack --rollback puts SparkBox back the way it was. Install the Media Center first and let it finish its setup. - Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr and Prowlarr: when one of them opens to an error page saying its database is "malformed" (it was stopped halfway through saving, for example during an update, a power cut or with a full disk), sudo sparkbox doctor now says so instead of reporting that every check passed. Run sudo sparkbox repair-arr-db sonarr (or radarr, lidarr, prowlarr): it puts back that app's own newest good backup and keeps the damaged file to one side. Your media files are not touched; anything downloaded since that backup comes back with a rescan. Please don't reset or reinstall the app first, because that throws its backups away. - Lidarr, Chaptarr, Sonarr, Radarr and Prowlarr: if the app shows its own sign-in page and Settings → Service Passwords has no password for it, run sudo sparkbox reset-password lidarr (or chaptarr, sonarr, radarr, prowlarr). It sets a new password on the app's account, shows it, and adds it to Service Passwords. The app restarts for about a minute. - Jellyfin on Windows (WSL2) with an NVIDIA graphics card: with Hardware Transcoding set to NVIDIA and NVIDIA's container toolkit installed, SparkBox now hands the card to Jellyfin instead of quietly converting videos on the processor, and sudo sparkbox doctor no longer tells you to install a Linux NVIDIA driver (on Windows the driver comes from Windows; installing a Linux one inside WSL breaks it). Run sudo sparkbox up after updating. - Tom AI: when updating your own custom app from its folder stops with "The container name … is already in use", Tom AI now tells you to update it with sudo sparkbox update <id and checks the app's real state, instead of guessing that it is a duplicate or already running. v1.6.916 — Tom AI answers NVIDIA transcoding questions on Windows boxes correctly - Tom AI: on a Windows box with an NVIDIA card, Tom AI now knows that SparkBox 1.6.915 gives the card to Jellyfin, tells you to run sudo sparkbox upgrade and then sudo sparkbox up, and gives the one check that shows the card is attached. It no longer suggests switching Jellyfin's hardware acceleration to None as the fix, and never asks you to install a Linux NVIDIA driver inside Windows.
