SparkBox patches — Mon Oct 5, 2026
Posted by Chris
SparkBox releases shipped on Mon Oct 5, 2026 (UTC), in order, newest at the bottom. This thread is updated as releases land during the day. Update from the SparkBox dashboard, or run sudo sparkbox upgrade on your SparkBox host. Legend boxes get every release the day it ships; free boxes get it after it has run there for a week. If a problem remains after updating, submit a private support ticket or reply below with the app name, what you expected, and what happened instead. Earlier days: Sun Oct 4, 2026 · Sat Oct 3, 2026 · Fri Oct 2, 2026 · Thu Oct 1, 2026 · Wed Sep 30, 2026 · Tue Sep 29, 2026 · Mon Sep 28, 2026 v1.6.862 — Clean Slate on the Media Center now sets your media apps up again - Media Center Clean Slate erased every media app's settings as promised, but when you switched the Media Center back on, SparkBox skipped the automatic setup it does on a new install: Jellyfin opened on its own first-run wizard with no SparkBox sign-in and no libraries, and Seerr was not connected to it. Switching the Media Center back on after a Clean Slate now runs that setup again, the same way it did the first time. Your media files and your VPN settings are not touched by a Clean Slate. v1.6.863 — A backup no longer starts on a completely full disk - When the disk SparkBox is installed on was completely full, Back up now started anyway, ran out of room partway, and the dashboard stopped responding. SparkBox now checks first and stops before the backup begins, with a message saying how much room the backup needs and how much is free. Free up space on that disk (old backups and unused app images are the usual culprits; sudo sparkbox doctor shows how much is free), then press Back up now again. v1.6.864 — A new domain in Settings now reaches Authelia's sign-in - If you set your own domain in Settings after turning on Authelia, Authelia kept the old address, so signing in at auth.<your domain sent you nowhere until you ran two terminal commands. Saving a new Domain (classic dashboard: Settings → Server Config → Advanced → Domain) now updates Authelia by itself, and sudo sparkbox restart <app also picks up a changed domain.
