SparkBox releases shipped on Wed Sep 30, 2026 (UTC), in order, newest at the bottom. This thread is updated as releases land during the day. Update from the SparkBox dashboard, or run sudo sparkbox upgrade on your SparkBox host. Legend boxes get every release the day it ships; free boxes get it after it has run there for a week. If a problem remains after updating, submit a private support ticket or reply below with the app name, what you expected, and what happened instead. Press Maybe later (or Esc) and it stays closed for the rest of that sale; it only comes back once in the last few days before the sale ends. Legend boxes never see it, and SparkBox Free stays free forever either way. v1.6.819 — The Legend offer on free boxes now says what Legend is for - On a free box, the sale offer and the Legend banner on the home page now say plainly what buying Legend does: it is how SparkBox is paid for, including every update your box gets, with the real number of releases and fixes from the last 30 days and how many people already back it. Tom AI still comes with Legend. SparkBox Free stays free forever, and nothing on your box changes if you don't buy it. v1.6.820 — Seerr knows about your Movies and TV Shows again on new installs - If you set up SparkBox's media apps in the last few days, Seerr may not have known about your Movies and TV Shows libraries: it couldn't tell what you already have, and SparkBox's setup log said the library sync returned nothing. This update switches both libraries on in Seerr for you the next time your media apps start, once, with nothing for you to do. If you ever need to run it by hand: sudo sparkbox media-finish. v1.6.821 — Request movies and shows from inside Jellyfin with the heart button - New, optional: Request from inside Jellyfin. Switch it on in the Media Center settings and a "Discover & Request" library appears in Jellyfin with posters of popular movies and shows you don't have yet. Tap the heart on one in any Jellyfin app (TV, phone or web) and it's requested in Seerr under your name, the same as a request made in Seerr, and its poster leaves Discover. Requests made this way are approved automatically, so anyone on your Jellyfin can start a download with a heart. The posters are tiny placeholder files in a Discover folder in your media folder; switching the option off removes them and the library. - The set-up form for apps now shows on/off options as switches instead of a text box holding "false". v1.6.822 — The Help window says who answers forum posts - The Help window used to say Tom reads every forum thread. Replies on d/sparkbox come from Chris, our AI support agent, and from other SparkBox owners, and the Help window now says so.
