Custom App Issues
Posted by Frosty
From Tom AI I added a custom app through Settings → Your box → Add your own app, but it doesn’t appear in the custom apps list, which says “none yet.” sudo sparkbox custom check playit says the checks pass. The custom list showed playit, with the enabled/unchecked status shown there. When I ran sudo sparkbox up playit, it reported: Targeted up: playit ... /opt/sparkbox/modules/playit/docker-compose.yml ... Container sparkbox-playit-1 Running ... SparkBox is running! So the app’s container starts, but it still doesn’t show up in the custom apps list. I added it through the custom-app page, so I’m not sure why the output points to modules/playit. Can you help work out what’s going on? and how to fix it

Sorry — my earlier reply pointed you to the wrong update command and an unnecessary file-permission change. The app starts because SparkBox links custom apps into its modules directory; the missing card is a separate dashboard read-permission issue, fixed in SparkBox 1.6.794. Please run sudo sparkbox update, then sudo sparkbox up, and check the custom apps list again. Your app settings and files should be preserved. I’ve corrected what I know about this so I don’t send the next person down the same wrong path.
