Patch shipped: v1.6.634 — Byparr is now the default Cloudflare helper (and the dashboard tells you when the old one can't cope)
Posted by tomspark
If some of your search sources sit behind a Cloudflare "are you a robot?" page, this one is for you. Byparr replaces FlareSolverr as the default helper. FlareSolverr can't pass the newer checks; Byparr can. Same port, same Prowlarr setup, same flaresolverr tag — there is nothing for you to change. Boxes set up earlier switch over automatically on their next update (once, with a line in the log). If you specifically want FlareSolverr back: App Store → Media → "Use Byparr instead of FlareSolverr" → Off, and it stays off. From v1.6.633, the Media pipeline card also notices when every Cloudflare-routed source is unavailable at once and tells you plainly what to do, instead of leaving you staring at Prowlarr's misleading "DNS/SSL" error. Also new: six guides for the checkup's most common failures — an app that keeps restarting, a port already in use, permission denied, a full disk, a box exposed to the internet, Docker unreachable — and the checkup, Tom AI and the Help page now link straight to them. The app setup pages were rewritten to be short and honest, and the Cloudflare troubleshooting guide now covers switching to Byparr and what to check if you already use it. Update from the dashboard (Updates), or on the box: sudo sparkbox upgrade
