So I purchased Sparkbox and have installed it 3 times, not sure what I am doing wrong. I get Sparkbox installed and configured, I get 1 movie downloaded and the drive is 100% full. Any idea what I am doing wrong. I have Ubuntu server running natively on a hardware and 500 gb NVME drive and no other software installed on the server. I am new to using Sparkbox, and self hosted media.

One movie can't fill a 500 GB drive, so you haven't done anything wrong — something else is using all that space, and it's usually easy to spot. On a fresh box, the most common culprit is the app images and data from installing three times, which can leave old copies behind. Run this in your terminal and paste back what it prints: df -h That lists every drive and how full each one is. Once I see which one is at 100%, I can tell you exactly what's safe to clear.

I had to reload, the system was crashed, here is the df output from the new install kurtm@media:~$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on tmpfs 3.1G 2.9M 3.1G 1% /run /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv 98G 29G 65G 31% / tmpfs 7.6G 0 7.6G 0% /dev/shm efivarfs 118K 78K 36K 69% /sys/firmware/efi/efivars none 1.0M 0 1.0M 0% /run/credentials/systemd-journald.service /dev/nvme0n1p2 2.0G 184M 1.7G 11% /boot tmpfs 7.6G 12K 7.6G 1% /tmp /dev/nvme0n1p1 1.1G 6.4M 1.1G 1% /boot/efi none 1.0M 0 1.0M 0% /run/credentials/systemd-networkd.service none 1.0M 0 1.0M 0% /run/credentials/getty@tty1.service none 1.0M 0 1.0M 0% /run/credentials/systemd-resolved.service tmpfs 1.6G 8.0K 1.6G 1% /run/user/1000 The ubuntu--vg--ubuntu--lv is the one that was full, I have new system up for 4 hours and it is already at 31% and climbing, not sure what is causing this, but at this rate it will be full by morning. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you

Good news — this isn't you, and it's an easy fix. Your 500GB drive only has 98GB available to the system. Ubuntu's installer carves out a ~98GB slice by default and leaves the other ~400GB sitting unused, and SparkBox keeps its media on that 98GB slice, which is why one movie fills it. The fix is to let the system use the whole drive. Run these two lines in the terminal: sudo lvextend -l +100%FREE /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv sudo resize2fs /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv Then run df -h again — the / line should now show close to 500GB instead of 98GB. The 31% you saw is mostly SparkBox pulling in its app images, which is normal; once the space is opened up there's plenty of headroom.
