The reason the terminal sees your files but SparkBox doesn't is that SparkBox's media apps read from a single folder — the Media Root — and your share is mounted somewhere else, so they never look at it. The fix: open the dashboard → Settings → Media Root, set it to the folder where the share is mounted (a path with no spaces), then run sudo sparkbox up so the apps re-point to it.
