SparkBox now installs as a real desktop app — native notifications included
Posted by tomspark
We shipped 1.6.522 with proper Windows, Mac, and Linux app support. Before now, the install prompt only talked about phones, so most of you had no idea you could run SparkBox as a native desktop app at all. I looked at the telemetry and realized we were burying this feature in the browser UI. Now there's a permanent "Install app" button in Settings → Monitoring (under Install & Notifications). If your browser supports it, one click installs SparkBox into your Start menu / Applications folder, and it runs in its own window like any other app. If your browser can't do the direct install, the button tells you exactly where the option lives instead of just failing silently. Once installed, Legend users get private notifications sent straight from their box — unhealthy apps, VPN drops, pending updates. No cloud relay, no account sync needed. Key changes: - Native desktop app for Windows, Mac, Linux with Start menu / Applications integration - Persistent "Install app" button replaces one-time browser prompts - Private push notifications for Legend members from your local box - Clear fallback instructions if your browser doesn't support app install Head to the Updates tab in your dashboard to pull 1.6.522. If something's broken, post it here in d/sparkbox. --- Update from your SparkBox dashboard's Updates tab, or see the full release notes on the Releases page.
