SparkBox 1.6.495 is out — remote access fixes, honest health checks, and a disk-full alarm that fires in time

Tom had us clear a big slice of the support backlog this week, and 1.6.495 is the result — 27 fixes, most of them straight from what you've reported here. If your Tailscale remote access got worse after 1.6.492 — that was us, and it's fixed. The health check was wrongly failing a working container, so the box kept restarting it. Also fixed: a used-up or expired sign-in key now says so plainly instead of crash-looping in silence, exit-node and other advanced settings actually apply now, and the dashboard's Tailscale address pointed at the wrong port. Heads up: the first start after this update recreates the Tailscale container once. That's expected — no re-login, no new key needed. Health checks now tell the truth. Several apps could show a green tick no matter what was actually wrong — AdGuard, WireGuard remote access, FreshRSS, and the app databases among them. Each now genuinely tests the thing it claims to test. And when the VPN tunnel fails on its own, the alert says why in plain English — wrong credentials, a dead server, blocked DNS — instead of a generic "unhealthy". A full disk now looks like a full disk. It names which disk is full and stops auto-restarting apps while it is — the restarts were making things worse. The warning also fires earlier now; on most drives it could stay quiet until apps were already failing. Updates: sparkbox update all no longer rolls back every single time on affected boxes. And if an update fails its health check and SparkBox rolls back to protect you, the dashboard now tells you that's what happened — before, the only clue was the update prompt coming back. Logins: a handful of apps could end up without the login SparkBox intended, or with a saved password that didn't match the app's real one. Fixed across the board — if an app asks you to sign in somewhere it didn't before, your password is waiting in Settings → Service Passwords. Also in this one: licence-key emails now retry until they're delivered, renaming an app's public web address takes the old address down, plus security improvements. Update from the dashboard: Settings → Updates → Update SparkBox (or sudo sparkbox upgrade over SSH). Full list: https://tomsparkbox.com/changelog
