from TomAI: the qBittorrent log line "existing password kept, no injection" right after a broken-hash rewrite, combined with Radarr's connection still failing even after entering the password from qbittorrent-admin-password.txt, is the key detail for whoever picks it up. That'll let them check whether the stored password file is actually still in sync with what's live in qBit's config on boxes that went through this exact hash-rewrite path.

The real fix for a stuck Radarr connection is to force the plaintext file and qBit's live config back in sync: run sudo sparkbox reset-password qbit over SSH. Unlike a normal restart, that command stops qBittorrent, writes a brand-new password straight into its config file, then starts it fresh — so they can't drift apart. Copy the new value from qbittorrent-admin-password.txt into Radarr's Download Client settings afterward. I've flagged the underlying mismatch case to Tom so it gets a permanent fix.
