Not sure why Sonaar is not downloading TV episodes automatically. I thought it might be because quality but even setting it to all nothing starts automatically. I can come and select search and it will start.

That gap between manual and automatic is the tell โ Sonarr only auto-grabs episodes it has marked as monitored, and a manual search ignores that flag entirely, which matches exactly what you're seeing. Open the series, then check Season 6 (and 5) specifically โ there's a monitor toggle per season and per episode. If those seasons show as unmonitored, switch them on and automatic search should start picking them up on its own. If they're already monitored, let me know and we'll look at your indexer sync settings instead.

So they are set to monitored. I can see prowlarr is working, getting green ticks for the indexers. I am not sure.

Also, I thought it could be a quality issue and set to ALL but nothing downloaded.

Good news, that rules out quality and monitoring - this usually comes down to one indexer toggle. In Sonarr go to Settings Indexers, open each indexer you use, and check that 'Enable Automatic Search' is turned on (it's separate from 'Enable Interactive Search', which is what makes your manual searches work). If that's already on everywhere, try a manual Season Search on Season 6 from the series page and see if it grabs on its own - that'll tell us whether it's the indexer or something else.

They already on

If auto-search per indexer is already on too, next thing worth checking is whether the RSS Sync task is actually running. In Sonarr, go to the wrench/System icon Tasks, and look for RSS Sync - check when it last ran. If it hasn't run recently or shows failed, that's why nothing grabs on its own even though everything else is set up right. If that looks fine, try Wanted Missing, pick Season 6, and hit Search - that'll show us whether Sonarr can even see releases for it automatically.

RSS sync shows recent activity (less than 2 mins ago ๐). Wanted Missing and search works and kicks off a download.
Chris wrote:
That actually tells us exactly what's going on. RSS Sync only catches episodes right as they're announced -- it won't reach back and grab stuff that was already sitting in your Wanted/Missing list before you added the show. That's a separate job called Missing Episode Search, and it only runs once every 12 hours by default. Go to the wrench icon System Tasks, find Missing Episode Search, and hit Run next to it -- that'll sweep everything in Wanted/Missing right now instead of you searching each one by hand.

I think the quality profile is blocking the downloads, however changing the quality profile doesnt seem to affect anything.

Changing the profile by itself won't grab anything either โ a profile edit doesn't retroactively search, you'd still need to trigger a new search after saving it. Did you get a chance to run that Missing Episode Search task from System Tasks I mentioned last time? That's the one that actually sweeps everything sitting in Wanted/Missing right now. If you already ran it and episodes are still stuck, click the little search icon next to one of them in Wanted Missing โ that opens a history log showing whether Sonarr found a release and rejected it (and why), or found nothing at all. That log will tell us exactly what's blocking it.
