Great news hiding in that screenshot — you're signed in to Seerr now, so the hard part is behind you. Continue stays greyed out because there's nothing to tick: Jellyfin doesn't have any libraries set up yet, so Seerr's list comes back empty. Nothing you did wrong. One command finishes this whole step for you. On the box: sudo sparkbox media-finish It creates your Movies and TV Shows libraries in Jellyfin, scans them, pulls them into Seerr, switches them on, and marks the setup wizard complete — so Seerr should drop you straight at the home screen. Reload the page once it finishes. — Chris

yup that did it ty now, im having a problem using those same username a pw for jellyfin on mobile and console my server pops right up but says my username an pw is shomehow wrong ive know tried the ones i made an the sparkbox cred neither work? even with quick connect i get an error.

Let's split this in two — they're different faults. On a computer on the same network, open Jellyfin in a browser at your box's address with :8096 on the end (e.g. http://192.168.1.50:8096, plain http) and sign in with the username you picked in Jellyfin's own setup screen. If that works, your credentials are fine and it's the app's server entry. If it's refused there too, it's the account, and I'll take that on. One trap: sb-jellyfin-media only works inside the box — a phone or console can't reach it. Those need that same IP and 8096. And don't bother with the sparkbox pair; your own login is the one Seerr accepted. — Chris

on my computer it was not accepted , i can see my server on my xbox just cant get into it

for some reason it let me onto seer with these login n PW earlier
Chris wrote:
Good sign in what you just said: Seerr has no accounts of its own — it checks what you type against Jellyfin — so that pair is a real Jellyfin login. And media-finish only builds libraries; it never touches usernames or passwords. So I would look at the address, not the account. Ignore the example one I gave you — that was mine, not yours. On the box run: sudo sparkbox urls Use the exact address on the "Jellyfin (media bundle)" line, plain http, in your browser and on the Xbox. Also watch for the console keyboard auto-capitalising the first letter of your username. Still refused there? Tell me the exact wording it shows and I will take it on. — Chris

it auto signs me into jellyfin on pc but on jellyfin app mobile and xbox says invaild username or PW if i try typing that url in xbox internet app says can not reach page.

also none of my tv shows that i added in sonarr are popping up in jellyfin only my movies
Chris wrote:
Two separate things here, and both have a clean path. The apps first: your Xbox reaching Jellyfin and answering "invalid username or password" actually proves the address is right — it got to the server. Your PC only walks straight in because the browser kept a saved session, so it never asks you to type anything. On that PC open Jellyfin, go to Dashboard - Users - your username - Password, set a fresh one, and use that on mobile and Xbox. Ignore the Xbox web browser; the app is the one that counts. The TV shows: Sonarr drops episodes into the exact folder Jellyfin's TV Shows library watches, so check in Sonarr that episodes have actually downloaded — adding a series doesn't fetch anything by itself. If the files are there, run sudo sparkbox media-finish again; it is safe to re-run and asks Jellyfin to rescan. — Chris

still just says invaild i updated the pw and even created another user both invalid also a show did install i ran said command went back in jellyfin after rescanning still no tv shows, appreciate all the help
Chris wrote:
That has gone on far longer than it should have, and a fresh password plus a brand-new user both being refused tells me my read of it was wrong. One test settles where the fault actually sits. On the PC, open a private/incognito window and load Jellyfin there — that skips the saved session and forces a real sign-in. Type the new password. If it lets you in, the account is healthy and the problem is what the apps are pointed at. If it refuses you there too, the password is not sticking on the server, which is ours to fix. Tell me which of those two happens. I have flagged this to Tom — he handles these personally. — Chris

says incorrect tried that in a different web browser in private, also running out of comments to post on. also when i go to my jallyfin dashboard still no tv shows load and that server name isnt the same one that appears om my jellyfin xbox app
Chris wrote:
That server-name difference is the most useful thing you have told me yet. SparkBox never sets or changes your Jellyfin server name, so if the Xbox app is showing a name that is not the one your browser shows, the app has latched onto a different server — and that alone would explain every app saying invalid while your PC walks straight in. On the Xbox and the phone app, remove that saved server and add yours by hand. Get the exact address from: sudo sparkbox urls Use the "Jellyfin (media bundle)" line, plain http. One correction on the test: that screenshot is Seerr's login page, not Jellyfin's, so the private-window check is still open. Same address, incognito. — Chris
Chris wrote:
While you work through that, let me pick up the TV shows properly — you have raised it three times now and I keep answering the login instead. Two checks, in this order. In Jellyfin open Dashboard - Libraries and confirm a "TV Shows" library is actually listed. Movies working does not prove it exists, and media-finish only reports a failure when BOTH libraries are missing, so a TV-only miss passes quietly. If it is listed, the usual cause is the filename — Jellyfin silently skips episodes it cannot parse. In Sonarr open the series and run Rename Files, then re-run sudo sparkbox media-finish. — Chris

can u send me the login page for jellyfin i can only find app downloads, seer was the only place i could sign into my jellyfin account on browser . when i treid that media bundle url on my iphone app it says could not connect .im out of COMMENTS
Chris wrote:
Jellyfin has no login page out on the web — it only lives on your box, which is why searching turns up nothing but app downloads. On the box itself, run: sudo sparkbox urls Find the line labelled Jellyfin (media bundle). The full address printed there, something like http://192.168.1.50:8096, IS your login page — open it in the PC browser, and put that same address in the server field of the iPhone and Xbox apps. sb-jellyfin-media only exists inside the box, so a phone can never reach it; that name was only ever meant for Seerr's settings field. Sorry for the mix-up there. — Chris

i copyed my media url from the box 172.30.167.208:8096 it will only let my pc through not my app on my xbox , are you saying i can only access my jellyfin server from this pc?
Chris wrote:
No — you are not stuck on that one PC, and that address is the whole story. 172.30.167.208 is not a home-network address; a router hands out 192.168.x.x ones. It belongs to a virtual network inside the machine SparkBox is installed on, which is why that PC reaches it and nothing else in the house can. It also explains the Xbox showing a different server name — it never found yours, so the sign-in it refused was not your password. Your account was fine the whole time. One thing I need: did you install SparkBox inside Windows (WSL or Docker Desktop), or on a separate NAS or Linux machine? That decides the fix, and I would rather ask than guess again. — Chris
Chris wrote:
Your answer changes that, and I owe you a correction: for now you are stuck on that PC. WSL runs SparkBox inside a small virtual machine with its own private network. Windows forwards traffic from your browser into it — that is why the PC works — but 172.30.167.208 exists only inside that machine, so the Xbox and iPhone have no route to it. No address typed into those apps reaches it today. Opening it up to the rest of the house is a change on the Windows side, and I will not hand you a command I have not verified myself. I am flagging it to Tom to give you the tested steps. One small thing meanwhile: on that PC http://localhost:8096 works too, and is the steadier address. — Chris
Chris wrote:
Those tested steps are here — Tom shipped them today in v1.6.466, built from your thread. Run sudo sparkbox upgrade, then sudo sparkbox urls. It now recognises a Windows/WSL address and prints the exact fix for your box underneath the app list, so you can read it off the screen rather than copying from me. The short version: on Windows 11 22H2 or newer you save a small .wslconfig file in your user folder setting networkingMode=mirrored, run wsl --shutdown, and allow inbound traffic. SparkBox then picks up your PC's normal home address and the Xbox can finally reach it. Windows 10 has a port-forwarding route instead, also printed. — Chris
paki wrote:
you want me to Run sudo sparkbox upgrade, then sudo sparkbox urls then run wsl --shutdown, and allow inbound traffic?
Chris wrote:
Close — but one step is missing, and it is the one that does the work. On its own, wsl --shutdown just restarts things unchanged. Order: 1. In Ubuntu: sudo sparkbox upgrade 2. In Windows, save a file named .wslconfig in C:\Users\<your name, containing exactly two lines: [wsl2] and networkingMode=mirrored 3. PowerShell, run as administrator: wsl --shutdown, then the Set-NetFirewallHyperVVMSetting line 4. Back in Ubuntu: sudo sparkbox up, then sparkbox urls Step 4 prints a new address — your PC's normal home one. That is what goes in the Xbox and iPhone apps. Run sparkbox urls right after step 1 and it prints all four, including that long firewall line to copy. — Chris
paki wrote:
this is what i got after step one then also got this after putting in wsl--shutdown
Chris wrote:
Both of those are fine — nothing has broken. The port lines are your own SparkBox. Those ports are held by docker-proxy, which is Docker publishing the containers you already have running, and that check doesn't skip them on an upgrade. Ignore it — and please don't set SBDASHBOARDPORT, that would move a dashboard that currently works. The second one is only a missing space: it is wsl --shutdown, two words. One thing before you run it. Step 2 has to exist first or the restart changes nothing — save a file called .wslconfig in C:\Users\<you containing exactly two lines, [wsl2] and networkingMode=mirrored. Then wsl --shutdown. — Chris
paki wrote:
yea like this right also should Run sparkbox urls right after step 1
Chris wrote:
That's the right content, in the right folder. One thing to check before you restart, though: the Type column on that file reads Text Document, which usually means Windows saved it as .wslconfig.txt with the extension hidden — and WSL only reads the exact name .wslconfig. In Explorer: View, then Show, then File name extensions. If a .txt appears on the end, rename it off. Then run wsl --shutdown. And yes, run sparkbox urls right after the upgrade. It prints the whole sequence from that file onward, including the long firewall line, so you can copy that off your own screen rather than retyping it from me. — Chris
