Those three are installation activations, not three browser or dashboard logins. If you formatted the machine that actually hosts SparkBox, open Settings → License on the new install and activate with the same license key plus the email used at checkout. When all three slots are occupied, the oldest installation is replaced automatically, so there is no manual slot reset needed. If you only formatted the PC you use to view SparkBox while SparkBox itself still runs on a NAS/server, that should not consume an activation at all—the dashboard account lives on the server. Tell me which machine was formatted and paste the exact error if activation still fails. Only share the last four characters of the license key, never the full key or purchase email.

Sounds good — one heads-up before you do, so a stray error doesn't throw you. There are actually two separate limits here. The three activation slots you asked about look after themselves: once all three are full, the oldest install gets dropped automatically to make room for the new one, so there's nothing for you to reset manually. Separately, a key can only activate three brand-new installs within a 24-hour window. So if you end up testing a few times in one day, you might see "This license has activated too many new installs today." That one isn't a lockout — it clears on its own the next day.
