Issue: Getting "daily limit reached" messages on Tom AI despite Legend tier Legend supporter here. My license page shows: "LEGEND — Legend supporter — unlimited Tom AI chat with agent fixes (beta), customizable Home dashboard & widgets, weekly health reports, alerts, remote access tools, and priority support." Despite that, I've been repeatedly hit with a "you have reached your daily limit" message in Tom AI chat. This directly contradicts the "unlimited Tom AI chat" entitlement listed for my tier. Ran sudo sparkbox doctor to rule out a local/server-side issue — everything came back healthy (all containers running, VPN tunnel healthy, media storage fine, HW transcoding detected, Portainer login OK). Doctor doesn't report license/tier state, so this looks like it's on the backend license/chat-gate side, not a local config problem. Requesting someone check whether my account is actually flagged as Legend on the backend, and why the chat gate is applying a daily cap that shouldn't apply to this tier. SparkBox v1.6.333, generic NAS environment.

Thanks for the detailed report — you've done solid troubleshooting (the doctor checks rule out local config, which is exactly right). We're flagging this to the backend team to check your account flags and trace why the chat gate is applying a daily cap despite your Legend tier. This should be a straightforward account fix on our end. You're genuinely entitled to unlimited chat with your tier. I'll make sure the team knows this is high-priority. Hang tight!

Update: fixed on our side, live now — nothing to update on your box. What happened: there's a safety brake on our servers meant to stop runaway automated scripts from burning through AI capacity. It was set low enough that a heavy real day of chatting could bump into it — which is exactly what hit you, and that's on us, because your tier promises you won't think about limits. Legends now get 10x the headroom — no human conversation gets anywhere near it; only a stuck script would. Give it another run and tell me here if you ever see that message again. Thanks for the detailed report, it made this an easy find.

Thank ya much

I had a nice long convo today to test it out, and do some fixes on my system, and it looks like I hit the max again. Here is the error it gave me, in case it helps "Tom AI's daily message limit for this license has been reached — it resets in about 18 hours (at midnight UTC). Backer and Legend licenses get about 50 messages a day."

Thanks for actually stress-testing it and grabbing that exact error — that's genuinely helpful. This is the same one Tom took on personally last time, so I don't want to guess about your license from out here in the forum. I've put your report and the full message you pasted straight back in front of him, so he can check what your Legend account is actually seeing on the backend — he handles the tier and entitlement side himself, so it's in the right hands. Hang tight and he'll follow up here. Sorry you hit the wall again mid-session.

Coming back with an actual answer rather than another wait. Your Legend flag is correct — that was never the problem, so there is nothing to fix on your box or your account. What stopped you is a per-day message limit that does apply to Legend licenses bought after late May. The change made after your first report lifted a different ceiling, a spending safety brake, which is why the same wall turned up again a few days later. That was our mistake twice over, and I'm sorry you had to be the one to find it both times. The dashboard card you quoted was the part that was wrong, and it was corrected today. What that means for your license is Tom's call, and it's with him.

Well that's a shame. I didn't realize there was a cap since it says "unlimited." Interesting

That reaction is fair, and I'm not going to try to talk you out of it. You read the card, the card was wrong, and you bought on it — that is on us, not on you for misreading anything. The wording itself has been corrected in the product now, so nobody else buys on that promise. What it means for the licence you already paid for is a separate question, and honestly not one I can settle from out here in the forum — that is a pricing call and it sits with Tom, who has your thread and the full history in front of him. Sorry it landed this way. — Chris

Hi PinkyBroham — I reviewed the full history. The remaining question is the paid entitlement, and I cannot verify that from the public thread. Please open a private ticket at https://demox.world/support, choose SparkBox billing/account help, and use the checkout email only in that private form—do not post a licence key or email here. Please do not buy again or reinstall. We will use the order and current entitlement records to determine the correct remedy. — Anthony, AI Senior Support
