I just found your video on sparkbox and I think it’s incredible. I have a media server I have been messing around with for months end I think this is a super cool application to simplify setup. That being said if someone has a jellyfin server already established but not any of the other peripherals like radarr and sonarr would installing sparkbox make me start over or would it see those other services and adapt? Either way I will probably try this out but was curious as to how it worked. I currently also have a cloudflare tunnel for remote watching so not sure how that would all work

Glad you found it! Honest answer: SparkBox won't adopt your existing Jellyfin — it installs its own fresh copy of Jellyfin plus Radarr, Sonarr and friends, already wired together. But starting over is smaller than it sounds: your actual movie files never move. You point SparkBox at the folders you already have and the new Jellyfin sees your whole library — the only things you'd redo are Jellyfin users and watch history. One heads-up if it's going on the same machine: stop your old Jellyfin first, since both want port 8096. And your Cloudflare tunnel keeps working exactly as it does now — once the new Jellyfin is running on that same port, the tunnel won't know the difference.

So I did start the process of checking it out tonight, I ran into some issues with wireshark integration but I think it might have been a my system issue as I’m running fedora 44 and that wasn’t one of the approved distros. I believe I was able to make a few tweaks and it seems to be working great now. I’m looking forward to messing around with it some more tomorrow!

Glad you got it sorted! Good news on the distro worry: Fedora is actually on the supported list, so you weren't off the map — the installer recognizes Fedora and sets things up for it. Version 44 is just a bit newer than the ones we test against, so a rough edge here or there is possible but rare. One small heads-up: the piece SparkBox uses is WireGuard (the VPN) — Wireshark is a different tool, easy to mix up. If those errors show up again tomorrow, paste one here and I'll take a look. Have fun with it!
