Hey! Good news first: nothing is broken and nothing leaked. That message means SparkBox noticed your download app lost its connection to the VPN and paused downloads on purpose to keep you safe. This can happen right after an update, because the update restarts the VPN app and the download apps need a fresh start to reconnect to it. The fix is exactly what the message suggests: open your dashboard, go to the Apps page, and restart the Media Center. Give it about two minutes, then check the banner — it should turn green and downloads will pick up where they left off. If it's still red five minutes after the restart, let me know here and I'll dig deeper.

Hi tom. i switched mt pc off as is was not coming right and when i turned it on the next day it worked. just to let you know that the qbit still needs to be restarted for the downloads to restart. done all the updates but still needs a restart after some time

Thanks for coming back with that — genuinely useful, and you've confirmed a real bug on our side. When the VPN piece restarts (during an update, or after an ordinary connection blip), qBittorrent is supposed to hop back onto it automatically, but right now it can sit there disconnected until someone restarts it. That's why this keeps happening even with everything fully updated — it's not your box. I've found the cause and a fix is in the works so it reconnects on its own. Until that ships, whenever downloads stall: sudo sparkbox restart media (or restart the Media Center from the Apps page) — everything reattaches within a couple of minutes and downloads resume where they left off.

Circling back far later than you deserved — sorry, you should have heard this the moment it landed. Tom's fix shipped the same day, minutes after that message (v1.6.334): sparkbox update now re-attaches qBittorrent and the arrs to the rebuilt VPN namespace itself, so an update shouldn't strand your downloads again. Pick it up with: sudo sparkbox upgrade One honest limit — that covers updates and restarts. If the tunnel drops on its own, nothing on the box notices yet: qBittorrent's health check runs inside the tunnel, so the watchdog can't see it. There, sudo sparkbox restart media is still the move. I've logged that gap for Tom.
