Since an April update, the license server automatically drops the oldest dead slot whenever a new install needs a spot — so those old entries can never lock you out, even at "3 of 3". - The counter will get tidied to reflect reality, but that's cosmetic — nothing you need to do in the meantime. So: reinstall or move machines whenever you like and it'll activate cleanly (just use the same email you used at checkout).
