Update shipped: v1.6.326 — reliability + fixes from your reports
Posted by tomspark
Pushed v1.6.326, a pass driven straight by your reports and diagnostics: - Nextcloud password: if you've been hunting for a Nextcloud password — there isn't a preset one. You create the admin account yourself on the first-launch screen. The dashboard now tells you that clearly instead of sending you looking for a value that doesn't exist. - Updates now check you have enough free disk space BEFORE they start, so a nearly-full disk can't interrupt an update partway through. - New dashboard now has an off-switch for the anonymous health-sharing (Settings), so the opt-out I promised actually exists. - Added a 'Storage by type' card so you can see what's actually using your disk. - Plus a batch of smaller dashboard fixes (a couple of dead buttons, clearer messages). Update from the dashboard (Settings - Updates) or sudo sparkbox upgrade. As always, shout if anything looks off.

This one is minor but it looks like the release notes broke. Mine was last updated for v1.6.320. Using v2 beta and updated to v1.6.327. The rest of v2 beta seems to be working really well now! I have gotten a failed to upgrade warning the last 2 updates from v.1.6.320 using the dashboard. But it looks like it still upgraded and reset the dashboard correctly, despite the warning.

Thanks for flagging both of those. The release notes showing v1.6.320 while you're actually on v1.6.327 is a display glitch in the v2 beta — the update applied fine, the notes panel just isn't refreshing after the upgrade. The "failed to upgrade" warning is a false alarm too: if the dashboard comes back at the right version afterwards, it actually worked. Both are logged and on the fix list. Glad the rest of v2 beta is going well!
