That said, SparkBox's media stack currently routes the download apps, including SABnzbd, through the VPN container by default — so as it's set up today you'd still configure a VPN to bring the stack up. So: no privacy reason you NEED one for Usenet, but SparkBox's wiring uses it regardless right now. If you specifically want a no-VPN Usenet-only setup, that's not a one-click option yet — want me to log it as a feature request?
