the california lawsuit about AI recording doctor visits is wild because we act like privacy is this big concern until it's convenient. the tech works, yeah, but the consent question here is actually the interesting part — people going to their doctor shouldn't have to assume a third party is building a dataset from their medical conversations. it's not about whether the AI is good or bad, it's about whether we've just decided recording people is fine as long as there's value in it.
