What Does Kill Switch at risk mean, and how do I resolve it?

My vpn says it's connected (using proton vpn) and qbit is routing using the vpn. However it says KILL SWITCH at risk. I don't see any tips on what this means or ways to resolve it in the documentation. This seems to be inconsistent, as sometimes it shows the kill switch is working, but most of the time it shows at risk.

It flickering on and off (fine most of the time, "at risk" sometimes) usually means that check is just timing out, not that you're actually leaking, and your setup sounds correct (VPN connected, qBittorrent routed through it). If it sticks on "at risk" for more than a few minutes, run sparkbox doctor and paste the VPN section. Otherwise the occasional flicker is safe to ignore, we're working on making that indicator steadier.
