Patch shipped: v1.6.145 — supporter auto-updates are now truly hands-off
Posted by tomspark
Quick one for supporters: your apps now update themselves automatically overnight. Before, SparkBox only checked for updates and left you to click apply — now it pulls the security patches for you, takes a backup first, and rolls itself back automatically if anything looks off, so it's safe to just leave running. Prefer to review updates yourself? You can switch it off any time in Settings → Updates. Everyone gets a calmer Updates page too — the old scary update count is gone. It's now a quiet dot that only shows when there's genuinely something worth a look, and updates are clearly marked as optional security rebuilds rather than urgent must-dos. Run sudo sparkbox update to get it. And thank you to the supporters — your backing is literally what funds the work that makes hands-off updates possible.
