Hi, So I had changed my email (and password) on my Nginx account, but it says email/password is incorrect, which I am 99% sure it isn't. I found this guide for resetting it, but not sure if the same applys to SparkBox, or if there is another (easier) way to do so? https://github.com/NginxProxyManager/nginx-proxy-manager/discussions/1634

[Security moderation edit โ 5 September 2026: the shared login and SQL password-reset recipe were removed. If you used the old recipe, change Nginx Proxy Manager to a unique password. Updating SparkBox does not rotate an existing Nginx Proxy Manager account.]

Good news โ that's a known Nginx Proxy Manager quirk (it has no "forgot password" button), not a SparkBox bug, and the guide you found does apply since SparkBox runs stock NPM. On your box its data lives at /opt/sparkbox/modules/core/config/npm/data โ that's the database the guide refers to. One quick question before I hand you exact steps: have you already set up proxy hosts/domains in NPM, or did you basically just change the login and get locked out? If you haven't built anything yet, the fastest fix is a clean reset back to the default login (admin@example.com / changeme). If you DO have proxy hosts you want to keep, we'll do a targeted password reset instead so nothing's lost. Just say which and I'll give you the one-liner.

I DO have proxy hosts setup already and stuff. So if we could do a password reset somehow, that would be fantastic. Also, I have ordered the UGREEN NASync DXP2800, which will arrive Thursday, so I'll be swapping my SparkBox (or maybe just a fresh install on that one idk yet) over to the UGREEN Nas instead of my "main" PC.

Legend! That worked, thanks ๐

Legend yourself ๐ Glad that sorted it โ and your proxy hosts should all be sitting there untouched. When the DXP2800 lands Thursday, pop a fresh thread if the move gets fiddly and we'll get you squared away.
