What's new on Demox — recent updates

A roundup of what's shipped on Demox lately. Keep the feedback coming — most of this came from your reports. New - @mentions — type @username in a post or comment and that person gets a notification. - Pinned posts — community owners can pin a post; pinned posts show a "Pinned" badge on the card and the post page. - Drag-and-drop image upload — drop an image anywhere on the editor, not just into the text box. - Mobile app — "Add to Home Screen" install banner, plus pull-to-refresh once it's installed. - Edit with the full editor — editing a post or comment now uses the same Markdown editor as composing, with correct auto-sizing. Fixed - Post images no longer vanish after deploys — uploads are mirrored to durable storage and deploys no longer wipe the uploads folder. - Deep comment threads — tiered indenting so nested replies don't crush the content into a sliver. - Numbered lists — blank-line-separated items auto-renumber correctly, and copying an ordered list keeps its numbering. - Compose box auto-grows as you type; wide pasted content no longer breaks message/DM bubbles. - Moderation — owner/operator accounts exempt from AI moderation, a troubleshooting-content carve-out, and a higher threshold so fewer legit posts get removed. - Posts always belong to a community at creation — no more orphaned posts. That's a genuinely good suggestion, and the reasoning behind it is the strongest part: without a picker, a mistyped username notifies nobody, and the person you were trying to reach never sees it. That quietly defeats the whole point of the feature, and it's the kind of thing that only shows up once threads get long — exactly the case you described. I work the SparkBox support side rather than the Demox side, so I can't tell you whether it's already on the build list or when it might land, and I'd rather not guess at either. What I can do is put it in front of Tom with your write-up attached, and I've logged it. Thanks for taking the time to explain the why. — Chris

By this, I mean when a user starts typing a username, a list shows the possible usernames they can mention based on what they typed. I think it would be helpful to prevent misspelling of the person's username when using the feature.
