A first-of-its-kind law blocks retailers from using your data to change prices in real time Recently, I have seen stores such as Walmart and Target using digital price tags in my area. I did not understand the purpose of why. Turns out it was for surveillance, changing prices based on its algorithm on what/how a person shopped. Luckily, Maryland says enough is enough. I think this is a step in the right direction. Hopefully, other states will follow, but is it enough? Source: Maryland moves to ban surveillance pricing in grocery stores
